Jayaprada was born as Lalita Rani in a middle class household to Krishna and Neelavani in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh on April 3, 1962. She was a small town girl with dreams of becoming a doctor. Her mother enrolled her in dance and music classes when she was seven years old, in addition to going to a regular school. Even though, her father and uncle were film financiers, her initial break into films didn't come through them. She was discovered dancing on stage at a school function when she was just fourteen years old. Character actor Prabhakar Reddy gave her the name of Jayaprada and introduced her in a three minute song in the Telugu film, "Bhoomi Kosam" (1976). That immediately led her to longer roles in "Devude Digivaste" (1975) and "Naaku Swatantram Vachindhi" (1976). The floodgates opened. Major film directors, such as Bapu, K. Vishwanath and K.Balachander, approached her with quality projects. She immediately became a huge star in Telugu films as diverse as the color-drenched, big-budget "Seeta Kalyanam" (1976) to the stark, naturalistic black-and-white film "Antuleeni Katha" (1976),

India, Cusp-born Poonam Dhillon is one of three children of former Aeronautics Engineer, Amrik Singh, and mom, Gurcharan Kaur. She has a brother, and a sister, Dr. Rishma Pai, who has a medical practice in Bombay. She studied in Carmel Convent High School in Chandigarh.
Poonam became popular after attaining the Miss India '77 Crown. This opened doors for modeling as well as her pretty face being splashed on magazine covers, and also landed her a role in 'Trishul', which was a hit at the box office, with the song pictured on her 'Gapuchi Gapuchi gam gam' continuing to be popular even today.

One child by Raj Babbar: Smit Prateek, born 1986. She died just a few days after her son's birth due to complications.

Art films were her forte but she also proved her capability by acting opposite Amitabh Bachchan in commercial films like Namak Halal & Shakti (both released in 1982) and signing films of various genres opposite Superstar Rajesh Khanna consistently in 1980-1987 period and giving hits with Rajesh Khanna.

Parveen was born in Junagadh, Gujarat in a Muslim family. She did her early schooling from Mount Carmel High School, Ahmedabad and later attended St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad where she emerged as a Master of Arts in English literature[4] Her father Vali Mohammed Babi (died 1959), was a System administrator with the Nawab of Junagadh and Jamal Bakhte Babi (died 2001). Her ancestors were Pathans of Gujarat and belonged to the Babi Dynasty.[5][6][7] Parveen was born fourteen years after the marriage of her parents and was the only child. She lost her father at the age of Ten.

Reena Roy was a famous leading lady of Hindi films from 1972-1985. She came from a broken home, a Muslim father and Hindu mother, who separated after having four children together. Reena is their third child, and she started films in her early teens to support her mother and siblings. Her career in films started off inauspiciously with B.R. Bhanurekha was born in the Telugu-speaking Ganesan household on October 10, 1954. Her dad was the popular Tamil actor, Gemini, while her mom was a popular Telugu actress, Pushpavalli. No stranger to the tinsel screen, Bhanurekha acted in a Telugu movie 'Rangula Ratnam' as Baby Bhanurekha along with her mom during 1966, which was subsequently re-made and released in Hindi during 1976 as Rangila Ratan (1976). She acted in one more Telugu as well as one Kannada movie (Amma Kosam and Goadalli CID 999 respectively) before re-locating to Bombay.

Neetu Singh was born as Sonia Singh on 8th July 1958 in New Delhi, India. Her mother was Rajee Singh and appeared with her in a movie Rani Aur Lalpari.
She married Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, who is film maker Raj Kapoor's son, in 1980. They have two children Ranbir Kapoor and Ridhima Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor is an actor while Ridhima is a designer and married to Bharat Sahni.
Neetu Singh started acting as a child with the screen name Baby Sonia in movies like Dus Lakh (1966) and Do Kaliyan (1968). She got a role in Suraj when the actress Vyjayanthimala recommended her.
