Tanvi Shah

Tanvi Shah or "The Jai Ho Girl" is a popular playback singer. She sings mostly for Hindi, Tamil and Telugu movies. She has also sung English, Spanish, Latin and Arabic songs. Apart from this, she also sings for her own band "Zahrra". Tanvi is the first Indian woman to win the Grammy Award for the lyrics of "Jai Ho", a song directed by AR Rahman from Slumdog Millionaire". She wrote lyrics in Spanish for this song, originally written in Hindi by Gulzar, who shared this award with her. Tanvi Shah has also received the BMI Award for the lyrics of "Jai Ho" in the year 2009, which she again shares with Gulzar.
Sunidhi Chauhan is one of the top female singers present in India. Her versatile singing securely stands herself against other singers like Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal and Alisha Chinoi. Sunidhi recently won a Filmfare award for a song 'Beedi Jalaayile' from film Omkara.

Sunidhi got her first break with the film Shastra. She sang the song 'Ladki Diwani' for the film. But the song didn't gain her an identity. Her breakthrough performance came with the film 'Mast'.

She is also a Gospel Singer who performs in various Church choirs. After having won the "Virgin Voice Choice" contest -- a joint initiative of Channel V and Virgin Records in the year 2000, Sarathy debuted into film playback in the year 2002. She debuted as a playback singer with the Tamil film Yei! Nee Romba Azhagey Irruke guest-singing the prelude and interlude portions of the song "Ini Naanum Naanillai" with Srinivas and Sujatha Mohan as the lead singers.

She studied at the Atomic Energy Central School in Kota and Mumbai. She has a degree in Arts from the SIES College and hopes to do her Masters in Literature.
As a child, she trained in Hindustani Classical Music under Maheshchandra Sharma.
She appeared on Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma in a children's segment which was hosted by singer Sonu Nigam. She won the competition. One of the judges Kalyanji convinced her parents to move to Mumbai and Ghoshal trained with him for nearly two years after which she received training under Mukta Bhide.

The playback singer Hariharan arranged for Rao to study under her music teacher, Ghulam Mustafa Khan. After performing with Shankar Mahadevan in concert, she moved to delhi on his advice. Although she started her career singing advertising jingles, Rao soon moved on to film music.

Nihira Joshi is 22 years old Arts graduate from Mithibai College, Mumbai. Nihira's playback singing career include the songs 'Dhadak Dhadak', with Sunidhi Chauhan and Udit Narayan from the film Bunty Aur Babli, 'Sabse Alag' from the film Alag, 'Raat Kahegi Daastan' from the film 88 Antop Hill 'Mera Dil' and 'Babuji Dheere' from the film Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love and 'Tan Man' from Marigold.
